Open-source attributions and third-party licenses
SimpleHaven is built on Apple’s first-party frameworks plus a small set of open-source and openly licensed components. This document carries the attribution and notice obligations that those components’ licenses require. The full text of each of the Swift-package licenses is reproduced on the full license texts page.
1. Apple first-party frameworks
SimpleHaven is built on Apple’s first-party frameworks under the Apple Developer Program License Agreement between SimpleHaven Technologies LLC and Apple Inc., not under an open-source license. End users’ use of these frameworks through the app is governed by Apple’s standard end-user license terms. No third-party attribution obligation exists for them.
2. Open-source Swift packages
SimpleHaven links the following third-party Swift packages into the application binary. Each is listed because its license requires attribution, and the full text of each license is reproduced on the full license texts page.
| Package | License | Repository |
|---|---|---|
| Euclid | MIT | nicklockwood/Euclid |
| ml-stable-diffusion | MIT | apple/ml-stable-diffusion |
| SunKit | Apache-2.0 | SunKit-Swift/SunKit |
| swift-transformers | Apache-2.0 | huggingface/swift-transformers |
MIT-licensed components are used under the MIT License. Apache-2.0 components are used under the Apache License, Version 2.0; neither Apache-licensed package ships a NOTICE file, so no NOTICE reproduction is owed. We make no modifications to any of these packages.
SimpleHaven contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no attribution SDK and no third-party crash reporter.
Obtaining the full license texts
Every license named in this document is reproduced in full at the upstream repository linked above, and the licenses of the Swift packages are additionally reproduced in full on this site at simplehavenapp.com/license-texts, so that a copy travels with the product rather than only a pointer to someone else’s server. If a link ever breaks, or if you would prefer a copy delivered directly, write to [email protected] and we will send the complete text of any license listed here at no charge and in a durable format. No account, purchase or justification is required to make that request.
Scope of this inventory
This section states what this document covers, so that nothing here is read as a claim it is not making. It covers two things: the open-source software libraries SimpleHaven links into the application binary, in Section 2, and the openly licensed furniture models whose licenses require credit, in Section 3.
It is not a complete bill of materials, and it does not claim to be one. The app also ships material that is public domain or licensed to us on terms that oblige no credit at all; nothing is owed for that material, so listing it here would imply an obligation that does not exist. Apple’s own operating-system frameworks are not listed individually either, because those are licensed to end users by Apple rather than by us and carry no separate attribution obligation, as noted in Section 1. Development-only tooling that never ships to a user — build scripts, formatters, test runners — is likewise out of scope, because no part of it is distributed.
We review this inventory whenever a component is added, removed or upgraded, and we republish this page in the same change. If an entry here ever disagrees with what is actually shipping, or if something that belongs here is missing from it, the discrepancy is a mistake on our part and not a licensing position; please tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.
3. Furniture and material catalog
SimpleHaven renders furniture from an on-device library of models. The models listed in this section are licensed from their authors under CC-BY-4.0 and are credited as that license requires.
Sketchfab authors — CC-BY-4.0
The following models are © their individual authors and licensed under CC-BY-4.0. Each entry gives the title, the author, and a link to the licensed work where one is available to us.
These models have been modified. Every model in the library is adapted from the form its author published before it is used in the app. This statement is the indication of modification required by CC-BY-4.0 Section 3(a)(1)(B), and it applies to every model in this section.
These works are provided as-is by their authors. The disclaimer of warranties and the limitation of liability in Sections 5 and 6 of CC-BY-4.0 apply to them, and this sentence is the notice referring to that disclaimer under Section 3(a)(1)(A)(iv).
- French-door refrigerator — Smokahontas — licensed work
- Qualitas toilet — Yaiyeondurising / 5Life — licensed work
- Bathtub — mohamed ouartassi — licensed work
- Flat-screen TV — bernalmontesceila — licensed work
- Streamline modular kitchen storage — Tom Au / trietau — licensed work
- Aqva bathroom vanity — monatera — licensed work
- Storage cabinet — Universidad Provincial de Córdoba
- Dresser — EnjoyLife_Tlt
- Cabinet — classe-saga
- Cabinet — classe-saga (second model)
For the last four we hold the author and the license but no working link to the original listing. CC-BY-4.0 asks for a link to the licensed work “to the extent reasonably practicable”; if you are one of these authors, or you can point us at the right page, write to [email protected] and we will add it.
These models are not in the shipping build at present. The credits are kept current here so that the attribution is already correct on the day they are enabled.
Sources we do not ship from
Where a source’s license terms are unclear, inconsistent between the distribution and the publisher, or restricted to non-commercial use, SimpleHaven does not ship, fetch or render any model from it.
Color and material references
Where SimpleHaven displays a color name, that name and its approximate hex value may correspond to names published in third-party color references. Color names and hex codes are factual data, not protected expression. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used nominatively to identify their products.
4. Fonts and icons
SimpleHaven uses Apple system fonts at runtime and bundles no non-Apple font. Its iconography is Apple’s SF Symbols, used under Apple’s SF Symbols license, which permits use within applications running on Apple platforms. Custom illustrative imagery is original work © SimpleHaven Technologies LLC unless otherwise noted.
5. Trademarks
All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in SimpleHaven indicates compatibility or accurate identification only; no endorsement is claimed or implied. Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone, iPad, iOS, iPadOS, HomeKit, Home, iCloud, CloudKit and StoreKit are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Matter is a trademark of the Connectivity Standards Alliance. SimpleHaven Technologies LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
6. Compliance statement
By using SimpleHaven, the end user acknowledges that the app incorporates open-source and openly licensed components governed by their own license terms; that the end user has been given notice of those terms here and in EULA Section 10; that the end user agrees to comply with them; and that violating an upstream license term is also a violation of the SimpleHaven EULA.
7. Open-source compliance contact
If you believe an attribution is missing or incorrect, or you are a rights holder with a concern about how your component is used, contact SimpleHaven Technologies LLC, Attn: Open-Source Compliance, at [email protected]. If you need to reach us on paper, ask and we will give you a postal address.
We aim to acknowledge receipt within 7 days and respond substantively within 30 days.
